By purchasing from Elkwood Designs, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before placing your order.
General
The information, products and services on this website may include errors and are subject to change without notice. We may update these terms from time to time. The terms shown on our website when you place your order are the ones that apply to that order.
Prices
All prices are in Australian dollars. If a product is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we'll contact you before making your order, and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Orders and custom work
By placing an order with Elkwood Designs, you confirm that all details provided (including spelling, names, dates and design preferences) are correct. We are not responsible for errors made by the customer in their order details once production has commenced.
Custom orders are welcomed and considered case by case. Please contact us via our custom order request form with your requirements.
Your photos and content
When you send us photos, names, logos or artwork for your order, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you give us permission to use them to make your order.
Production and turnaround times
As most of our products are personalised and made to order, our standard production time is up to 10 business days before your order is dispatched. During peak periods such as Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas, production times may be extended. Any changes to turnaround times will be shown on our website.
Proofs
Proofs are not automatically provided for every order, as this can slow down production and turnaround times. If you would like a proof, please request it at the time of purchase. We will then provide a proof for your approval before production begins.
Changes, additions and cancellations
If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes or cancellations can only be made before your order has entered production. Once production has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible.
If your order has not yet been dispatched and you wish to add items, we can arrange combined shipping. If your order has already been shipped, a new order will be required.
Shipping and delivery
We ship within Australia and to selected countries (see our Shipping policy). Elkwood Designs is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services, customs processing or unforeseen shipping disruptions. Once your order has been marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility for the item passes to the customer.
Damaged or faulty items
We take great care in packaging all orders to ensure safe arrival. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as you can (ideally within 2 days of delivery) with clear photos of the item and packaging so we can help.
Returns and refunds
Due to the personalised nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. If an item is faulty, incorrect or damaged in transit, we will repair, replace or refund it. See our Refund policy for details.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Customer responsibility
It is the customer's responsibility to:
- Ensure all order details are correct before checkout
- Review any provided proofs carefully
- Check emails (including spam and junk folders) for order updates
Product safety and care
Some items may contain small parts that could be a choking hazard for young children. Our products are not toys and should be used under adult supervision. For safety, we don't recommend hanging items above cots or beds, or within reach of small children.
Many of our pieces are delicate and designed mainly for decoration. To keep them looking their best, avoid long exposure to heat, moisture or direct sunlight.
Correspondence
A confirmation email is sent automatically as soon as your order is placed. If you haven't received it, please check your junk or spam folder.
We generally only reach out if we need to clarify something about your order. Otherwise, the next email you receive from us will be your shipping notification once your item has been dispatched. Please see our turnaround times for an estimate of when your order will be shipped.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elkwood Designs is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our products. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Website information
We aim to keep all information on our website accurate and current, however content may change over time. Elkwood Designs reserves the right to update or modify information at any time without prior notice.
Personal information
Any personal information you provide to Elkwood Designs (such as your name, address, email and phone number) will be collected, stored and used in accordance with our Privacy policy. We will only use your information to process your order, communicate with you and improve our services.
Right to refuse service
Elkwood Designs may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion. If we cancel an order you've paid for, we'll give you a full refund.
Our designs
All designs, photos and content on this website belong to Elkwood Designs. Please don't copy, reproduce or resell them without our written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
